In the 55~90kW power band, many plants actually have substantial air demand, but the pressure they need shifts with each product changeover — today it is 0.7MPa for routine pneumatics, tomorrow it may be 1.25MPa for a high-pressure process. At that point, whether a machine can stay efficient across several pressure points becomes the deciding factor in selection.
The ESSENCE EPM+-T two-stage, oil-cooled PM VSD screw air compressor is built for exactly this range. It comes in three power steps — EPM+55A/W-*T, EPM+75A/W-*T and EPM+90A/W-*T — covering 55~90kW, with a working pressure of 0.7~1.25MPa and rated air delivery given for four pressure points. ESSENCE is a wholly owned subsidiary of Fusheng Group, and its products are backed by Fusheng's technology and service system; this model is positioned on strong value and consistent quality. Voltage and frequency span 220/380/415/440V at 50/60Hz, so it suits different regional power systems.
Compressing air in a screw machine generates a great deal of heat: once compressed, the air is hotter and bulkier, and pushing it further becomes harder. Two-stage compression splits a single compression into two steps and places cooling between them, so the air entering the second stage is first cooled and reduced in volume — which lowers the compression work the second stage has to perform.
The direct benefit to the user is better energy efficiency at the same power rating — the advantage of the two-stage layout is especially clear at higher pressures. That is why the EPM+-T belongs to the two-stage family. For a machine that runs continuously, every bit of compression work saved eventually shows up on the electricity bill.
Permanent magnet motors are sensitive to temperature, and prolonged heat carries a risk of demagnetisation that undermines both efficiency and reliability. The "oil-cooled" tag in the EPM+-T name signals that cooling plays a major role in how the package manages heat. Bringing motor and airend cooling into a single oil circuit helps hold the temperature rise within a sensible range in workshops that run continuously and get hot. For users who run long shifts without a climate-controlled machine room, this is worth noting.
One practical feature of this model is that air delivery is listed for each pressure, so selection can be checked directly against it:
| Model | 0.7MPa | 0.8MPa | 1.0MPa | 1.25MPa |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| EPM+55 | 5.12~12.80 | 4.80~12.00 | 4.28~10.70 | 3.76~9.40 |
| EPM+75 | 7.00~17.50 | 6.60~16.50 | 5.84~14.60 | 5.16~12.90 |
| EPM+90 | 8.32~20.80 | 8.00~20.00 | 6.76~16.90 | 5.84~14.60 |
(Air delivery in m³/min)
The table shows one clear pattern: the higher the pressure, the lower the air delivery from the same model. So when selecting, do not go by the maximum air delivery alone — first fix the working pressure you use most, then read the air delivery range for that pressure.
The EPM+-T uses coupling drive, and the air outlet is either G2 or a DN80 square flange depending on the model. Physically, the three power steps are close in size: length 2250/2250/2300mm, width 1344/1344/1450mm, height 1694/1694/1750mm, net weight 2350/2520/2950kg. The compact overall dimensions make the units easy to place and swap within an existing compressor room. Notably, the three power steps differ very little in footprint, which means a plant expanding later can move up to a larger model without re-planning the room layout, keeping modification costs relatively contained.

PM VSD starting lets the unit's speed follow air demand continuously, avoiding the waste of blowing off at no load. Holding the aftercooler outlet temperature within +15°C of ambient eases the load on downstream refrigerated dryers and filters. And because the air outlet is either G2 or a DN80 square flange depending on the model, connecting to plant piping of different sizes is straightforward.
In the crowded 55~90kW band, the EPM+-T brings two-stage compression and oil-cooled design together so that efficiency and reliability are addressed as one. If your plant does not work at a single fixed pressure, a model with solid data behind every pressure point is far easier to choose with confidence.
