How to Choose a Screw Vacuum Pump: Fusheng VSV Series

A vacuum pump is an "invisible workstation" on many production lines: thermoforming, CNC hold-down, vacuum coating and pharmaceutical freeze-drying all rely on it to maintain negative pressure. If the vacuum level is unstable, product yield fluctuates with it; and a power-hungry, noisy pump becomes a long-term burden on the shop floor.

Fusheng's screw vacuum pumps are currently led by the VSV Series PM VSD screw vacuum pump: screw rotors draw the vacuum, combined with VSD control and direct drive from a high-efficiency permanent magnet motor, balancing efficiency and noise performance.

1. Features of the Screw Path

There is more than one way to produce vacuum in industry. A screw vacuum pump draws air continuously with intermeshing screw rotors, giving smooth flow and low pulsation, suited to processes that run continuously for long periods and require stable vacuum; structurally it has few wear parts, so the maintenance burden is relatively lighter.

2. The VSV Series Technology Path

The VSV Series airend uses a purpose-built profile design matched to vacuum duty; VSD control adjusts on demand, avoiding the energy waste of fixed-speed operation; and a high-efficiency permanent magnet motor drives the airend directly, reducing intermediate transmission losses and delivering high efficiency with low noise.

4. Typical Industries

The VSV Series can be used in fields such as electronics, new energy, glass, ceramics, CNC, food, thermoforming, medical, printing, chemical, pharmaceutical and papermaking.

  • Electronics and new energy: processes such as hold-down, transfer and coating that need stable negative pressure;
  • CNC and thermoforming: workpiece hold-down and forming hold-down;
  • Food and medical: processes such as packaging and freeze-drying that require cleanliness and stability;
  • Printing, chemical, pharmaceutical and papermaking: production lines that run continuously with stable vacuum demand.

5. Selection Advice

  1. First define the required vacuum level and pumping speed, and select to the process window rather than oversizing blindly;
  2. For continuous operation, give priority to VSD control, so pumping speed follows actual demand;
  3. Consider noise and installation location; the low-noise character of direct drive eases placement constraints;
  4. Include energy consumption and maintenance in the whole-life comparison, rather than looking only at the purchase price.
