The air supply environment on a construction site is a different world from a fixed workshop: heavy dust, wide temperature swings and power conditions that are not always ideal. The equipment either holds up to continuous work or becomes the weak link in the whole schedule. In tunnels, mines, hydropower and municipal projects, the point of use is often far from the plant, and once a machine goes down, the time lost waiting for repairs far exceeds the cost of the equipment itself.
The ESSENCE FSG series of screw air compressors for engineering work is built for exactly these conditions. It covers discharge pressure of 0.7-1.25MPa, air delivery of 1.85-32.0m³/min and power of 15-185kW, with air-cooled cooling and coupling drive; on the data sheet it is a tier aimed at high-flow, high-intensity air supply.
Being built for engineering work is not just a name change; it is a different set of selection priorities. What construction sites value is usually not the ultimate energy efficiency figure but:
The FSG's configuration choices are essentially built around these points.
The specifications state that the FSG uses coupling drive and air-cooled cooling.
Coupling drive transmits torque directly from motor to airend through a coupling, giving greater structural rigidity and higher transmission efficiency, well suited to high power and long running; compared with belt drive, it also removes a wear part that needs periodic tensioning and replacement.
Air cooling is a better fit for the construction site: it needs no circulating water system, avoiding a whole series of troubles with water shortage, scaling and winter freeze protection, and it makes installation and relocation more flexible. For sites without a stable water supply, or that do not want to invest extra in a cooling water system, air cooling is the more practical choice.
The FSG offers four discharge pressure levels: 0.7MPa, 0.8MPa, 1.0MPa and 1.25MPa, with a given model delivering different air volumes at different pressures. Taking the FSG85A as an example, air delivery is 2.55m³/min at 0.7MPa and falls to 1.85m³/min at 1.25MPa.
This set of figures illustrates a common rule: on the same machine, the higher the pressure setting, the smaller the air volume it can deliver. If you select by the maximum air delivery alone, it is easy to overlook that it corresponds to a lower pressure level. Construction air demand usually comes with a clear pressure requirement, so checking air delivery at the actual working pressure is the safer way to avoid mistakes.
The FSG covers eight models, from FSG85A to FSG1060A, with power running from 15kW up to 185kW. The prime mover is a YE3 or YK series motor, with speed spanning roughly 1475-2975rpm; different models match different motors and speeds to their power and structure: higher-speed models are more compact, while lower-speed models are better suited to long periods of heavy-load running, and the choice can be weighed against how continuous the air demand is.
The voltage/frequency is 380/50, a standard industrial supply that is easy to connect on site.

What matters in a compressor for construction is not any single line on the data sheet but whether it can "keep going". With air cooling, coupling drive and a wide 15-185kW power range, the ESSENCE FSG series puts reliability first and suits construction work that demands continuous operation and durability. As a brand under Fusheng Group, ESSENCE backs its products and service with Fusheng Group's manufacturing and service systems, supporting construction users.
