Fusheng Dryers: FSR, FSD, FRD and FDL, Refrigerated to Adsorption

When compressed air cools in the pipe network, liquid water condenses out, leading to corrosion, freezing and blockage, failure of pneumatic components and damp products. Fusheng offers 5 dryers, from refrigerated to adsorption and from single-stage to combined, covering different dew point requirements and air volumes.

1. Overview of the Five Models

ModelDrying methodCapacityApplicable dew point need
FSR refrigerated dryerRefrigerated8.5–90 m³/minGeneral industrial air supply
FSD heatless regenerationAdsorption (pressure swing)1.2–90 m³/minLow dew point, simple structure
FSD micro-heat regenerationAdsorption (heat-assisted)1.2–90 m³/minLow dew point with less regeneration air
FRD combinedRefrigeration plus adsorption1.2–90 m³/minBoth quality and energy control
FDL desiccant dryerChemical adsorption0.68–31.43 m³/minDew point -40 / -70 °C

2. The Dividing Line Between Refrigerated and Adsorption

Refrigerated drying removes water by cooling and condensation, and its dew point is limited by the refrigeration temperature, so it cannot go very low; it suits most general air supply. Adsorption drying relies on a desiccant to take up moisture and can reach a lower dew point, but regeneration consumes a portion of the finished air. In selection, first ask how low a dew point the process needs, then decide whether adsorption is required.

3. Choosing Between Heatless, Micro-Heat and Combined

  • Heatless regeneration: no heating and a simple structure, but a relatively high regeneration air loss;
  • Micro-heat regeneration: a little heat is added during regeneration so it is completed with less air, suited to applications with high air volume and long running hours;
  • Combined: refrigerated pre-drying first, then adsorption for deeper drying, balancing cost and dew point;
  • FDL: for demanding applications such as pharmaceutical, food and medical that require a strict dew point, with -40 °C / -70 °C options.

Conclusion

A dryer is not the most expensive equipment in the system, but it determines how dry the air is. Set the target dew point first, so that regeneration air loss and running cost can be calculated together.
