ESSENCE Engineering and Low Pressure Compressors: FG, FL

Engineering and low pressure are two kinds of air demand that are easily lumped together, but their requirements for an air compressor are not the same: the former faces a site with dust, vibration and frequent relocation, while the latter faces a continuous air process whose pressure demand is not high to begin with. ESSENCE is a product brand under Fusheng Group, covering both needs with value-oriented models, matched respectively by the FG Series and the FL Series.

Two Needs, Two Sets of Trade-Offs

An air compressor on an engineering site often cannot rely on a stable foundation, water source or power supply, and the criterion is whether it can deliver air continuously under harsh conditions; low-pressure processes are the opposite, with a site that is usually fixed, and the real pain point is the energy wasted by long-term pressure reduction — the process needs only 0.3–0.45 MPa, yet air is supplied from a 0.7–0.8 MPa machine and then reduced. Draw these two dividing lines clearly, and selection is much less confusing.

FG Series: 0.7–1.25 MPa Models for Engineering Sites

The FG Series covers a working pressure of 0.7–1.25 MPa, air delivery of 1.85–32.0 m³/min and a power range of 15–185 kW, using air-cooled cooling and coupling drive. Air cooling does not depend on a circulating water system, making installation and relocation more flexible; coupling drive gives good structural rigidity, suited to high-power continuous operation over long periods. Voltage / frequency is 380/50, matching the power supply conditions commonly found on engineering sites.

FL Series: 0.3–0.45 MPa Low-Pressure High-Flow Models

The FL Series sets the working pressure at 0.3–0.45 MPa, with air delivery of 6.0–50.8 m³/min and a power range of 30–220 kW. A low-pressure model is not a high-pressure machine turned down; its airend is designed for low-pressure duty, delivering greater air output at the same power so the machine does not first do useless compression work. Processes that value air volume rather than pressure, such as material conveying, mixing, blow-off and aeration, are better suited to this path.

Selection Points

  1. Where the site has no stable water source or requires frequent relocation, give priority to the air-cooled FG Series;
  2. Where process pressure stays below 0.45 MPa over the long term, calculate the running benefit of a low-pressure solution with the FL Series;
  3. Engineering air demand fluctuates greatly, so size the model by peak demand and leave a margin;
  4. If a shop has both high-pressure and low-pressure air points, consider supplying at separate pressures rather than serving everything with one machine.
