The air supply for a laser cutting shop used to be assembled piece by piece: a compressor, a receiver tank, a refrigerated dryer and several stages of filters, each standing alone and linked by piping. Such a system works, but it takes up space, needs many connections, suffers high pressure loss and a long installation and commissioning cycle, and a fault in any one part means checking them one by one.
The ESSENCE FAS-16F, an all-in-one compressor dedicated to laser cutting, takes an easier route—integrating these stages into a single unit. Working pressure is 1.6MPa, air delivery 0.60-3.80m³/min, power 7.5-37kW, and the integrated receiver tank holds 270-1000L. Skid-mounted versions are available, and the design intent is simply "ready to run on arrival."
The trouble with a split system is essentially too many interfaces. Every extra connection point means one more place with pressure loss, one more potential leak, and one more spot to inspect.
The all-in-one approach integrates the compressor, receiver tank and other core parts into one frame, with internal connections and commissioning completed at the factory, so on site only power and air need to be connected before it runs. For the user the benefits are direct:
Laser cutting is highly sensitive to pressure fluctuation. The moment a cutting head starts or stops, air demand changes abruptly, and without enough buffer volume the line pressure swings noticeably, which in turn affects cut quality.
The FAS-16F integrates the receiver tank into the unit, with capacities from 270L to 1000L (rising with the power step). Here the tank acts as a reservoir: it supplies extra air at peak demand and stores air at low demand, smoothing out pressure fluctuation. Compared with an external tank, the integrated design also does away with the piping from tank to unit, cutting pressure loss further.
The FAS-16F uses Y-△ starting. This reduced-voltage method is common for higher-power motors: voltage is lowered during start-up and switched to full voltage once running, reducing the starting current's impact on the grid. It is mature in structure, simple to maintain and moderate in cost.
The drive is a belt drive. A belt drive has some damping ability, absorbing part of the vibration and shock, and its speed can be adjusted by changing the pulley; maintenance and replacement are convenient and routine cost is easier to control. For an all-in-one model that prizes stability and easy maintenance, this is a practical choice.
The FAS-16F offers a full-performance configuration with a pressure dew point as low as 2-10°C, so the compressed air is dry enough for the clean-air requirements of laser cutting, reducing the risk of water in the piping and clogged nozzles.
In the model line-up, the FAS30A-16F and FAS37A-16F are skid-mounted. The skid structure fixes the whole system on a single base, making it easy to transport, lift and deploy quickly—especially suited to job sites, temporary lines or situations requiring the whole system to be relocated.

The more complex the air system, the higher the chance of trouble. With its all-in-one integration, built-in receiver tank and skid-mounted design, the ESSENCE FAS-16F folds a once-scattered air system into a single unit, letting laser cutting users put their attention back on cutting. As a brand under Fusheng Group, ESSENCE can draw on the group's organisation for product development and service, giving users ongoing support.
