Medium & High Pressure Piston Compressors

Ordinary workshop air is mostly at 0.7–0.8 MPa, while applications such as bottle blowing, pressure and leak testing, hydropower stations and defense require pressures often above 1.6 MPa. This category lists two medium and high pressure piston compressors: the oil-injected FH Series and the oil-free VFW Series, both using multi-stage compression to reach higher pressures.

1. FH Series: Three Steps, 1.6 / 3.5 / 4.5 MPa

The FH Series uses multi-stage compression, with a working pressure covering three ratings of 1.6 MPa, 3.5 MPa and 4.5 MPa, air delivery of 0.25–1.1 m³/min and power of 2.2–15 kW. Higher-power models are fitted with an intercooler and a high-efficiency moisture separator, cooling between stages and draining in time for a low discharge temperature; speeds are mostly 680–860 rpm, with low vibration and noise. It is suited to industries such as blow molding machinery, pressure and leak testing, hydropower stations and defense.

2. VFW Series: Medium Pressure and Fully Oil-Free

The VFW Series targets applications such as industrial bottle blowing that need both high pressure and cleanliness, with a compressed air outlet pressure of 2.5–4.0 MPa, air delivery of 3.6–23 m³/min and power of 37–220 kW. It uses a large-bore, low-speed, long-stroke design, and the entire compression process is completely oil-free, guaranteeing air quality at the source and removing the uncertainty of relying on air treatment filter elements to remove oil.

3. How to Choose

1. Pressure 1.6–4.5 MPa, small air volume, oil-injected acceptable: choose FH;
2. Pressure 2.5–4.0 MPa, large air volume, fully oil-free required: choose VFW;
3. Both follow the same rule — the higher the pressure, the smaller the air delivery available — so set the pressure first, then match the air volume.
