ESSENCE Two-Stage Screw Compressors: EPM+-T, ESV+-TMA

Two-stage screw air compressors are a product line under the ESSENCE brand aimed at high-pressure and energy-saving needs, 3 in total: EPM+-T, ESV+-TMA and FASV--TMA. They split one compression into two stages with intercooling between them, thereby lowering the discharge temperature and improving efficiency.

1. Division of Roles Among the Three Models

  • EPM+-T two-stage oil-cooled PM VSD screw air compressor: working pressure 0.7–1.25 MPa, air delivery 3.76–20.80 m³/min, power 55–90 kW, covering medium-to-upper air volumes;
  • ESV+-TMA two-stage high-efficiency PM VSD screw air compressor: working pressure 0.7–1.25 MPa, air delivery 1.16–73.00 m³/min, power 22–355 kW, spanning a wide range from small to large air volumes;
  • FASV--TMA two-stage high-efficiency PM VSD screw air compressor: models span several power steps from 22–132 kW, with air delivery of 1.80–30.00 m³/min at 0.7 MPa.

3. The Value of Two-Stage Compression

Splitting the compression process into two stages with intercooling between them lowers the compression ratio and discharge temperature of each stage, and reduces energy loss in the compression process, so efficiency is higher. For production lines that run continuously over long periods and where electricity is a large share of costs, the energy-saving benefit of such models shows up gradually in operation.

The FASV--TMA uses PM VSD starting and coupling drive, supports 220/380/415/440 V, 50/60 Hz, and has an aftercooler outlet temperature no higher than ambient temperature plus 15 °C.

4. Selection Advice

  1. Set the pressure rating first: 0.7, 0.8, 1.0 and 1.25 MPa correspond to different processes, and the higher the pressure, the smaller the available air delivery usually is;
  2. Choose the model by air delivery: for medium scale look at EPM+-T, and for a wide span of needs look at ESV+-TMA;
  3. Consider power-step coverage: the FASV--TMA covers several power steps from 22–132 kW, easing the match to different scales;
  4. Check the electrical and drive specifications: export projects or special voltage situations should confirm in advance.
