For plants with high air demand, the compressor station is often the biggest power consumer in the shop. In the cost structure of compressed air, the purchase price is only a small part; long-term electricity is the main expense. The SA+ Two Stage Series under this category is a model built around efficiency.
When air is compressed its temperature rises, and the higher the temperature, the more work is needed to compress to the same pressure. Ideally, we want the compression process to stay as close to isothermal as possible. Single-stage compression completes it in one step, with a large temperature rise that departs further from isothermal; two-stage compression first compresses to an intermediate pressure, cools thoroughly, then enters the second stage — two compressions and two coolings — making the temperature curve flatter and thus closer to isothermal compression.
The Fusheng SA+ two-stage series brings the compression process close to isothermal, greatly improving compression efficiency, saving about 15% compared with single-stage compression. The series has a working pressure of 0.7–1.25 MPa, air delivery of 4.2–85.0 m³/min and power covering 55–450 kW, and uses a high-efficiency Fusheng airend for more stable and reliable operation. The higher the power and the longer the running hours, the more this energy-saving benefit accumulates.
Two-stage compression is not simply splitting a single-stage structure into two; it needs intercooling and a purpose-designed airend working together. For a compressor station in the 55–450 kW range running continuously all year, the SA+ offers a high-efficiency answer.
