Fusheng HD Series Vacuum Distillation: 90%+ Waste Reduction

As long as cutting fluid and cleaning agents are used, waste liquid is produced. In the past, handling it was simple — collect a full drum and hand it to a licensed unit to haul away. But as environmental requirements tighten and disposal fees rise, this invisible cost is becoming heavier and heavier.

1. The Logic of Reduction: Take the Water Out

The great majority of industrial waste liquid is in fact water. Taking machining cutting fluid as an example, after use it is mixed with metal chips, oil and impurities, yet its water content is still very high. Since most of it is water, the most economical way to treat it is not to haul the whole drum away, but to separate the water out first. The HD Series uses vacuum distillation, lowering the boiling point of water under vacuum so that the water evaporates and is condensed out at a lower temperature, greatly reducing the volume of the remaining concentrate, by up to more than 90%.

2. Why Vacuum Distillation

Atmospheric distillation requires heating the liquid to a higher temperature, which uses a lot of energy and easily causes organics to degrade and scale to form. Vacuum distillation lowers the boiling point by reducing pressure, so the heating temperature is lower: it both reduces energy consumption and lowers the risk of scaling and degradation, making it better suited to industrial waste liquids of complex composition. The equipment is highly efficient and low in energy consumption, with better adaptability to fluctuating waste composition, suited to production lines that run steadily over long periods.

3. Selection and Compliance Notes

  1. First tally the volume and composition of waste liquid produced, and define the treatment scale and operating cycle;
  2. Distinguish water from concentrate, and assess whether collection and temporary storage containers are needed;
  3. In line with local environmental requirements, confirm the disposal route and declaration method for the concentrate;
  4. Reduction does not mean exemption from compliant disposal; the concentrate still has to be handled by a licensed unit.

Conclusion

The HD Series uses vacuum distillation to separate the water out of the waste liquid, reducing it by more than 90% — cutting not just the volume, but the company's disposal costs and compliance pressure.
