HD Series Waste Liquid Reduction

As long as cutting fluid and cleaning agents are in use, waste liquid is produced continuously. In the past it was enough to collect a full drum and have a licensed unit haul it away; today, with stricter environmental requirements and disposal fees charged by volume, this "invisible cost" is getting heavier.

The Fusheng HD Series waste liquid reduction equipment moves the treatment step forward into the plant: it uses vacuum distillation to separate the water in the waste liquid, greatly reducing its volume, by up to more than 90%, and is suited to industrial waste liquids such as machining cutting fluid and cleaning waste. The series currently centers on a single model, HD Series.

1. What This Kind of Equipment Solves

The cost of waste liquid disposal is tied directly to volume — the unit price is charged by the ton or by the drum, and transport, storage and declaration are also calculated by volume. Cut the volume to one tenth of the original, and outsourced disposal, transport and warehousing costs fall accordingly, while on-site temporary storage is easier to arrange. For buyers, the value of this equipment lies in reducing the amount that must be paid for disposal.

2. How Vacuum Distillation Works

Under vacuum, the boiling point of water is lowered, so the water can evaporate and be condensed out at a lower temperature, greatly reducing the volume of the remaining concentrate. Compared with atmospheric distillation, the heating temperature is lower: this both reduces energy consumption and lowers the risk of organics in the waste liquid degrading and of scaling, making it better suited to industrial waste liquids whose composition varies widely.

• Machining: shops that use large volumes of cutting fluid and emulsion and change them frequently;
• Parts cleaning: production lines whose cleaning bath liquid and rinse waste must be changed regularly;
• Surface treatment, die casting, coating and electroplating: bath liquids containing oil and impurities that must be discharged regularly.

For selection, first tally the volume and composition of the waste liquid produced, and define the treatment scale and cycle; then, in line with local environmental requirements, confirm the disposal route and declaration method for the concentrate. Note that reduction does not mean exemption from compliant disposal: the concentrated waste liquid still has to be handled by a licensed unit; the equipment's job is to bring the total volume down.
